- Wash and steam the potatoes. Peel off their skin. Cut the boiled potatoes into small pieces. Set aside..
- Heat oil in a cooking pan. I used an iron skillet. Once the oil is hot, add mustard seeds and allow it to crackle. Add cumin seeds and fennel seeds. Once the cumin seeds turn golden brown, add asafoetida. Add curry leaves and let them flutter for few seconds..
