Ingredients of Alur dom

  1. You need 500 gms of Baby potatoes.
  2. You need 3 tbsp. of ghee/ oil.
  3. Make ready 2 of bay leaves.
  4. Take 1 tsp of garam masala powder.
  5. It’s 2 tbsp of tamarind paste.
  6. It’s 2 of green chillies slit.
  7. Take 1 tsp of chilli powder.
  8. It’s 1 tbsp of coriander powder.
  9. Take 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder.
  10. Prepare 2 tbsp of ginger garlic paste.
  11. It’s to taste of salt.
  12. Make ready 1 tbsp of coriander leaves chopped.

  5. When masalas are done, add boiled potatoes and keep frying on low heat till browned..
  6. Add green chillies and tamarind paste with 1/2 cup water. Adjust salt to taste. Let it come to a boil..
  7. Lastly add garam masala powder..
  8. Remove from the flame and garnish with coriander leaves..
  9. Traditionally served with luchis and puris etc but can also be served with chapatis..
  10. Notes:- 1)Boil potatoes with skin.
