Ingredients of Spaghetti and Gammon Bake
- Prepare 1 pack of Spaghetti.
- Take of Leftover 1.1kg approx Gammon.
- You need 2 of Leaks, sliced thinly.
- Prepare 100 g of approx, Grated chedder cheese.
- You need of Drizzle of olive oil.
- It’s of Bechamel Sauce.
- Make ready 1-2 tsp of Mustard powder.
- Make ready 40 g of butter.
- You need 40 g of flour.
- You need 600 ml of whole milk.
- Make ready of Salt to taste.
- Make ready of Ground black pepper to taste.
- Take 200 g of chedder cheese, grated.
Spaghetti and Gammon Bake step by step
- Turn the oven on to 180c..
- Heat the olive oil over a low-medium heat, then add the leeks. Fry gently on low for around 20-25 minutes until leeks are really soft..
- Cook spaghetti in salted water for 12 minutes. The pasta should be slightly Al dente still..
- To make the bechamel sauce melt butter and add the flour, whisk until it forms a paste. Add the mustard powder then slowly add the milk and stir continously until the mixture thickens, Season with salt and pepper. Add the chedder cheese and whisk. Set aside..
- Cut the gammon into squares..
- In a bowl or saucepan mix the pasta, gammon, leeks and bechamel sauce together..
- Transfer to an ovenproof baking tray and top with the chedder cheese..
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is melted and slightly browned..
