Ingredients of Spicy Honey Garlic Chicken

  1. Prepare 300 gms of boneless chicken cubes.
  2. It’s 2 tbsp of crushed garlic.
  3. Take 2.5 tbsp of Honey (for the gravy) + 2 tsp (for the marination).
  4. Prepare 1 of onion, cut into dices.
  5. Prepare 1 of capsicum, cut into dices.
  6. Take 1/2 tsp of Salt (for marination) + to taste (for the gravy).
  7. It’s 2 tsp of kashmiri red chilli powder.
  8. Prepare 2.5 tsp of black pepper powder.
  9. It’s 1.5 tsp of Soya sauce (for marination) + 2 tbsp (for the gravy).
  10. Prepare 1.5 tsp of Vinegar (for the marination) + 1.5 tbsp (for the gravy).
  11. You need 1.5 tsp of Vegetable oil (for the marination) + 1.5 tbsp (for the gravy) + enough oil to fry the chicken.
  12. Prepare 1.5 tbsp of refined flour.
  13. Make ready 2.5 tbsp of cornflour.
  14. Prepare 1 tbsp of toasted melon seeds for garnishing.

Spicy Honey Garlic Chicken instructions

  1. To marinate the chicken take the chicken cubes into a large bowl & add the soya sauce, honey, vinegar, 1 tsp of kashmiri red chilli powder, 1 tsp of black pepper powder, 1/2 tbsp of crushed garlic, salt and oil into it. Mix everything well & let the chicken rest for about 10 minutes..
  2. Now add the flour & 1.5 tbsp cornflour into the chicken & mix well..
  3. Now heat the oil in a pan & dip fry the chicken pieces until they are golden brown..
  4. Then remove them from the oil & keep aside..
  5. Now prepare the gravy. For that heat the oil in a pan & add the remaining crushed garlic into it..
  6. Saute for few seconds & then add the onions & capsicums. Fry them for 2-3 minutes..
  7. Now mix the remaining soya sauce, honey, black pepper powder, kashmiri red chilli powder, vinegar & salt together into a bowl..
  8. Now pour this mixture into the pan..
  9. Wash the bowl (in which the sauce mixture was prepared) with 1/3 cup of water & pour the water into the pan..
  10. Let the sauce mixture boil for 2-3 minutes & then add the fried chicken pieces into the pan. Saute for another couple of minutes..
  11. Now mix the remaining cornflour into 1/2 cup of water in a bowl..
  12. Add the cornflour mixture into the pan & stir vigorously to prevent any lump formation & stir until the gravy is thick.
  13. As soon as the gravy becomes thick give everything a final mix & turn off the flame..
  14. Sprinkle the toasted melon seeds from top & serve hot..
