Make ready 5 cup of water.

Zarda step by step
wash your rice.
in one cup of water melt the sugar.
in the rest of the water infuse with the turmeric powder.
parboil rice in the tumeric water strain.
pour the lime juice over the rice and rinse this is to make sure your rice doesn't stick together.
put rice in sugar water.
melt the ghee and fry the spices, add rice and sugar water..
stir in saffron, raisins ,and nuts cover and cook over a low heat.
may be served warm or cold.
