Ingredients of Gajar ka halwa (Carrot Halwa)

  1. Take 10 of dark orange carrot.
  2. Make ready 1 litre of milk.
  3. It’s 100 gms of khoya.
  4. You need 3 of Cardamon powder.
  5. Make ready 3 tbs of Ghee.
  6. Prepare 150 gms of cut mix dry fruits(almonds, pistachios and raisins).
  7. Make ready 100 gms of sugar(you can increase/decrease quantity as per taste).
  8. You need 4-5 of threads of zafraan.

Gajar ka halwa (Carrot Halwa) step by step

  1. Wash & clean the carrot. Trim the edges and peel the skin. Now grate them to shreds..
  2. Heat a big non stick vessel or pan and put the shredded carrot, add milk and let it start boiling.
  3. Let it cook for over 45 mins on low flame and add the mix dry fruits before the milk completely dries off.. keep stirring.
  4. Once the milk has almost dried, add ghee and start stirring the halwa and let it fry until it changes colour.
  5. Now add khoya and keep stirring.
  6. Lastly add sugar and zafraan, keep stirring until you see the ghee on the sides of the pan..
  7. Garnish with khoya & nuts and serve.
