Ingredients of Aloo ki bhujiya (Halwa puri wali)

  1. Take 5 to 6 of Potatoes medium to large (cut in small cubes).
  2. It’s 2-3 tbsp of Oil.
  3. Take 1 tsp of Rai.
  4. It’s 1 tsp of Kalonji.
  5. You need half tsp of Methi dana.
  6. Prepare 1 tsp of Zeera.
  7. Take half tsp of Ajwain.
  8. You need 6-7 of Karri patta.
  9. You need 1 tbsp of Kuti laal mirch.
  10. It’s 1 and half tsp of Haldi.
  11. Take of Water as required.
  12. Make ready 3 of Green chillies.
  13. Take to taste of Salt.
  14. You need of Imli pulp as required.
  15. It’s 1 tbsp of Gajar achar (optional).
  16. Prepare of Hara dhaniya for garnishing.

Aloo ki bhujiya (Halwa puri wali) step by step

  1. In a pot, heat oil and put rai, kalonji, zeera, ajwain, methi dana & karri patta.. saute for 2 secs… don't let it burn…
  2. Now add kuti laal mirch and haldi and fry for a sec. & add diced potatoes in it and mix..
  3. Now add water (approximately 1 and half to 2 cups so that potatoes will be covered and cooked in the same water) & salt..cook it on high flame until it starts boiling than cook it on medium low flame for 15 to 20 mins..
  4. When potatoes will be soft.. mash half of the potatoes in same pot. & add imli pulp & green chillies now.. water should not dry… it should be watery at this stage.. when you'll mash the potatoes and let it cook for another 5 mins the gravy will become thick automatically….
  5. Now add gajar ka achar in it and mix well and cook for another 2 to 3 mins and turn off the flame…
  6. Garnish it with hara dhaniya & enjoy with poori, paratha or kachoriyan….
