Ingredients of Baked Pasta with White Sauce
- You need 2.5 cups of Penne Pasta.
- Prepare 1 of medium sized capsicum chopped.
- You need 2 of medium sized carrots chopped.
- Make ready 1 teaspoon of garlic chopped.
- Take 1 cup of grated cheese.
- It’s 2 tablespoon of maida.
- You need 2 cups of milk.
- It’s 1 teaspoon of oregano.
- It’s 1 teaspoon of chilli flakes.
- Prepare 2 tablespoon of butter.
- Take of Vegetable oil as required.
- You need of Salt as required.
- Prepare of Sugar as required.
- Take 1 teaspoon of black pepper.
Mix well until all ingredients are combined and covered with pasta sauce.I first ate a slight variation of this recipe at an American Diner called Sparky's, in Chennai.I guessed the ingredients by their flavours and made it at home.The result was just as good if not better.
Baked Pasta with White Sauce instructions
- Boil the pasta in some water by adding a drop of vegetable oil and 1tsp salt..
- Heat some vegetable oil in a wok and add the garlic..
- Let the aroma comes out. Then add the capsicum and carrot with some salt..
- Saute it well and cover it with a lid. Cook it in the medium flame..
- When the veggies seems to become cooked and fried, remove it from the flame..
- In the same wok, add the butter and the maida. Cook it for a couple of mins and then add the milk..
- Be very careful while adding the milk, it may form some lumps in it..
- Add the milk, little by little, and stir it continuously so that no lumps can form..
- Add the black pepper, oregano and some salt and sugar. Sugar is optional..
- After you get the desired consistency, remove it from the flame. You white sauce is ready.
- In a microwave proof dish, mix the white sauce, boiled pasta and veggies. Garnish it with some grated cheese and chilli flakes..
- Bake it in convection mode, at 180degree for 15minutes..
- Serve hot.
