Ingredients of Shahi Paneer

  1. Take 3/4 cup of low-fat paneer Cubes.
  2. It’s 1/2 cup of boiled green peas.
  3. Make ready 3/4 cup of onion paste.
  4. It’s 1 tbsp of cashewnut (kaju) paste.
  5. Prepare 1/2 tsp of garlic Paste.
  6. You need as needed of Water.
  7. Take 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder.
  8. Prepare 1/2 tsp of dried fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi).
  9. Make ready 1/2 cup of Low fat milk.
  10. You need 1.5 teaspoon of green chilli paste.
  11. Take 1/2 teaspoon of garam masala powder.
  12. Take to taste of Salt.
  13. Take Handfull of finely chopped coriander leaves.

Shahi Paneer instructions

  1. Heat a non-stick pan/ kadhai on a high flame.
  2. Add the onion paste and cook on a slow flame for 3 to 4 minutes or till the onions light brown in colour, while stirring continuously..
  3. Add the cashewnut paste, garlic paste and dried fenugreek leaves.
  4. Mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 more minute..
  5. Sprinkle 1 tbsp of water to avoid the onions from burning..
  6. Add the low-fat milk, ½ cup of water, green chilli paste, turmeric garam masala and salt.
  7. Mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes, while stirring occasionally..
  8. Add the paneer and green peas, mix gently and cook on a medium flame for 4-5 minutes covered.
  9. Garnish with coriander and serve hot with whole wheat chapatis,rice,etc.
