Ingredients of Dahi ke sholey

  1. It’s 250 grams of hung curd / yoghurt , thick and fresh.
  2. You need 100 grams of paneer, crumbled.
  3. You need 2 of small green capsicum, finely chopped.
  4. Make ready 1 of small red bell pepper, finely chopped.
  5. Prepare 1 of small yellow bell pepper, finely chopped.
  6. Make ready 1 of small carrot, finely chopped.
  7. Prepare 2 of green chilli, finely chopped.
  8. You need to taste of Salt.
  9. You need 1/2 tsp of pepper, crushed.
  10. Take few of Bread pieces.
  11. Prepare As required of Oil for deep frying.

Only then I remembered mom making bread rolls or cutlets as we called them.Dahi ke Sholay is very good starter recipe for all parties.Hung curd with some spices and loads of veggies stuffed in bread rolled and deep fried is Dahi ke Sholay (Sholey).Unlike usual starters, it has a unique taste.

Dahi ke sholey step by step

  1. Now, take thick and creamy curd (hung curd)..
  2. Further add 1 cup crumbled paneer to it..
  3. Now, add chopped capsicum, red bell pepper, yellow bell pepper and carrot to it..
  4. Now, add salt and crushed pepper..
  5. Mix well making sure that all the ingredients and hung curd are combined well..
  6. Now, mix 2 tbsp maida with little water to make a thin paste. And, keep aside..
  7. Now, take bread and cut it's sides. Put some moisture on it..
  8. Put the curd mixture on the bread..
  9. Now, put the maida paste on on the sides of bread and seal the sides holding the bread into half with the help of a plastic wrap..
  10. Fry till the patties or kabab turns golden brown..
  11. Drain the kebab into kitchen paper to remove excess oil..
  12. Serve dahi ke Sholey with pudina chutney or sauce..

The rolling of dahi ke sholey is indeed an art.Making a roll without breaking the bread and leaking the filling is tough to handle and certainly not for beginners.I watched several videos but when I was making it, it didn't work.
