- Prepare 1 pinch of Asafoetida powder.
- Take To taste of Salt.
- Prepare As needed of Water.
- It’s 2-3 tbsp of any Cooking oil (coconut oil preferred).
- You need 1 tbsp of Semolina/ rava.

- Clean the neatly cut silver bar fish and set aside. For marinade mix the kashmiri chilli powder, salt, tamarind water / lemon juice, turmeric powder, asafoetida powder and water as per the measurements mentioned above..
- Mix well to make a thick paste. Throughly marinate the fish one by one and set aside for 15 minutes..
- Heat a pan or iron skillet on a medium flame above the gas stove and add 2 to 3 tbsp of cooking oil. Sprinkle little bit of semolina on each piece of fish and place it on the pan for frying..
